It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Joan Scruggs (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on January 9, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ballard and Dollours; and her sisters, Mary Louise Wilson-Morgan and Lelia Ann Wilson-Smith. She is survived by: her children, Walter L. Scruggs (Lucy), Bonita D. Scruggs, Rodney R. Scruggs Sr. (Victoria) and Lanere L. Byrd (Tobious); her siblings, Ilona Mason and Alexander Mason; and her extended family, Blanche Perkins, Juanita Anderson and Sharon Edwards. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
