She was predeceased by: her husband Robert C. Short; her sons, Bobby and Jackie Short; her parents, Grace Hancock and Harold Peecher; and her siblings, Joanne Eberhard and Richard Peecher.
She is survived by: her children, Rick Murphy (Robin), Christina Conley (George), David Murphy, Carole Wissman (Robert), Melody Jarvis (Lynn) and Kate Hawkins (Tom); and her siblings, Mary Jane Martinez and John W. Peecher. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 Great Children and 1 Great Great Grandson.
