He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Gudel, Beatrice North (Bruce) and William Gudel; his niece Julianna Richard (Ben); his great-nephews, Simon, Graham and Oliver; his great-niece Laurel Richard; and his nephew Eric North (Lauren Macfarland).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus Humane Society.
