He is survived by: his children, Tonya Mayes, Carla Mayes, Sonja Smith, Charo Hargrove, Katina Mayes, Erica Guess, Tracy Mayes, Kierra Branch, Maurcie Yates, Carlos Mayes, Brian Valentine (Paula) and Charles Coleman-Mayes; his friends, Barbra J Joyner and Darlene Ferguson; Earley and Davis. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
