He was predeceased by: his father Rev. C. R. Sharpe; his brother Sidney LaMarr Sharpe; his mother Cherrye L. Sharpe; and his siblings, Ford LaRoque Sharpe and Cherrye L. Schrecklinger.
He is survived by: his sister Virginia L. Sharpe-Dunn of Detroit, Michigan; and his children, Clifton Roy Sharpe III of Detroit, Michigan, Lawrence Sharpe (Sue) of Las Vegas, NV and Drema Sharpe-Edholm (Carl) of Ashville, Ohio. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
