He was predeceased by: his parents, Elson Parker and Elizabeth Parker (Brown); and his brother Stephen. He is survived by: his wife Linda S. Parker (Young); his children, Phillip and Kim; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Buyko (James). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name preferred to the Alzheimer's Association Central Ohio Chapter, 1379 Dublin Rd., Columbus, OH (43215).
