He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace DeJarnett and Hermyonn DeJarnett; his wife Linda Carol-DeJarnett; his siblings, Joyce Elaine Young and Reginald DeJarnett; his son Shawn DeJarnett; and his nephews, David DeJarnettt and Andre DeJarnett.

He is survived by: his daughter Sheree Barlow; his nieces, Tara Young and TawanaDeJarnett-Dukes; and his brother Renell DeJarnett. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
