He is survived by: his parents, Donald L. Schmidt and Patricia Sullivan Schmidt of Columbus; his wife Linda M. Schmidt; his sons, Griffin Schmidt of Los Angeles and Collin Schmidt of Columbus; his sister Kimberly Corya Schmidt of Ft. Myers Beach, FL; his sibling's children, Brandon Corya (Carla) of Columbus, Kip Corya of Mesa, AZ, Adam Hawks of Indianapolis and Jacqueline Hawks Craig (Ben) of Dallas, TX; and his siblings-in-law, Rob McMillan (Nancy) of Indianapolis, Ann Kin (Michael) of Indianapolis and Jane Hawks (Brian) of Indianapolis. He is also survived by 4 great nieces.
