She was predeceased by: her parents, Steve H. Reed and Emma J. Reed; her husband James H. Sims III; her son Kevin L. McCall; and her siblings, Deborah K. Wilson, Michael L. Reed, Vernon Reed, Stephanie Reed and Alma J. Reed-Bocoum.
She is survived by: her sons, Maurice McCall (Melissa), James Sims III (Annette) and Jermaine Sims (Anita); her goddaughter LaNayla Holt; and her siblings, Steve H. Reed Jr., Bishop Ronnie K. Reed (Inga), Glenn Reed (Carolyn), Gwendolyn Hoke (Willie), Brenda Ware (Michael), Barbara Keaton (John) and Tanya Reed. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
