He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cottrell and Garnet Cottrell (Roberts); and his sister Naomi Miller. He is survived by: his children, Bill Cottrell of Columbus, OH, Todd Cottrell (Stephanie) of Frankfort and Ashley Woolums of Washington, CH; his siblings, Gary Cottrell (Denise), Debra and Pam Cottrell; his grandchildren, Calvin, Colten, Tiffany, Todd Jr., Trever and Zach; his great grandchild Cali; his girlfriend Debbie; and his pet Sparky.
