He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger and Daisy Blackshear Sr.; his wife Barbara Jean Blackshear; and his granddaughter LaMonica Blackshear. He is survived by: his children, Debra Gore, Diana Roddy, Karen Blackshear, Sonya Collins (Nathaniel Jr.), Teresa Taylor (Steven) and Ernest Blackshear, Jr. (Betsy). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
