It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George Wilbur Dismukes Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, born in Columbus, Georgia, who passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Dismukes Sr. and Thelma Howell Dismukes. He is survived by: his children, Anne Dismukes Phillips (Mike) and George Dismukes III; his grandchildren, Michael Phillips (Jessica), Melanie Staten (Blake) and Patrick Phillips (Reena); his great grandchildren, Chandler Anne Staton, Charlie Staton, Skyler Phillips, Ellison Phillips and Cora Phillips; and his wife Betty Dismukes.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Vance Brooks Funeral Home (4048 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Paws Humane Society of Columbus in George's honor.
