She was predeceased by: her husband Frank V. Caplinger; her son Frank E. Caplinger; her parents, Bessie May and Hassell McPeeks; and her brother Roger Jenkins.

She is survived by: her children, Pamela Caplinger (Armando), Janice Tello (David), Tabitha Aspell (A. J.), Hassell Caplinger (Ashley), Charlie Caplinger and Grace Joyce (Luther); and her siblings, Melvin Jenkins, Hazel Moore and Deborah Jenkins. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
