He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fitzsimmons and Frances "Irene" Fitzsimmons; his siblings, Randy Fitzsimmons and Joan Nicholson; his significant other Richard Fredrick; his stepchildren, Gregory Fredrick and Kelly O'Hare; and his cousin Mike Clifford.

He is survived by: his brother Desmond Fitzsimmons (Ruth); his sibling's children, Samantha Fitzsimmons and Ethan Fitzsimmons; his friend Billy Borden; and his cousins, Jon Lavender (Jenny), Ian Lavender, Doug Clifford, Mark Clifford (Gwyn) and Curt Clifford (Mary).
