He was predeceased by: his wife Eunice Cooper; his son Thomas Cooper; his grandsons, Thomas Jr. and Tony Gus; and his parents, Gus Cooper and Helen Cooper.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Grundy of Murrells Inlet, SC and Roger Cooper of Columbus, OH; and his grandchildren, Christa, Danny and Donna. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.
