She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Melin (Brown) and Russell Melin; her husband Ben A. Otto; her former husband William Schrader; her siblings, Melissa Bucher (Dewey) and Russell Melin; and her son-in-law Paul VanDyke.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth VanDyke, Amy Slobodien (Don), Carol Yates and Beth Staggs; her sister-in-law Betty Melin; her stepchildren, William Schrader, Jr. (Gloria), Cybrian Stambler (Aaron), Kim Schrader (Teri), Jill Turner (Doug), Russell Schrader and Barbara Schrader; and her grandchildren, Benjamin (Brook Slobodien), Sarah (Stuart Yates), Corinne Tagliarina (Dan), Emily McClung (Joe) and Rachel Staggs (Kirstie Conklin). She is also survived by 17 step-grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 34 step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
