He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Mahoney and Bart Mahoney of Mount Serling, OH; his wife Betty Mahoney; and his siblings, Lou, Bart, John Mahoney, Louise and Elsie.

He is survived by: his sister Jeannie Whiteside (Tom) of Mount Sterling; his children, Pat Jr Mahoney (Becky) and Peggy Owen (Steve); his grandchildren, Ashley, Colleen Owen, Jill Mahoney and Joe Mahoney (Brandy); his great grandchildren, Joey and Blake Mahoney; and also Coni Mahoney.
