He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolene and James A. Malott, Sr.; and his brother Tim Malott. He is survived by: his wife Kathy E. Malott; and his half-siblings, Larry Meadows, Sonny Meadows and Barbara Johnston. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Ohio Youth for Christ (coyfc.org).
