He was predeceased by: his parents, John Berger and Charlotte Berger (Schaefer); his sister Ellen Proplesch (Richard); and his nephew David Berger. He is survived by: his wife Lois Ann Thompson; his children, Dennis Berger of Tiffin, Kathleen Zellner (Kent) of Tiffin, Thomas Berger (Janice) of Tucson and Judi Berger of Columbus; his grandchildren, Brittaney Zellner of Tiffin, Briana Zellner of Atlanta, Georgia, Brooke Putsch (Ethan) of Delaware, Mira Berger of Tucson, Ariz and Sean Berger (Kinsey) of Florida; his great grandchildren, Finley Putsch and Bryan Berger; and his brother Ralph Berger (Kathy) of Gaylord, Michigan. He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
