It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Hughes (Columbus, Ohio), born in Buchtel, Ohio, who passed away on July 18, 2019, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Boyce Hughes, Sr. and Julia Hughes (Huboy); his wife Carol Ann Hughes; his siblings, Paul Hughes and Judy Herberger; and his brother-in-law Jim Herberger.
He is survived by: his former wife Carol Ann Conrad; his children, James Hughes (Joni), Cathy Johnston (Dan Kobil), John Hughes, Susan Morgan (Brad), Michael Hughes (Mya Frazier), Karen Hughes (Jill Whitton), David Hughes (Shelly) and Patricia Hughes (Todd Hemsoth); his siblings, Carol Cooley (Richard), Tom Hughes (Corrine), Barbara Lafreniere (Raymond) and Kathy Gatto (Joseph); his siblings-in-law, Margaret Hughes and John Conrad; Sue Hemsoth-Hughes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
