He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Isiah Grimes-Smith and Della Ann Grimes-Smith; his children, Tyrone Coleman, Lauren Smith-Webb and James Smith Jr.; his sister Geneva M. Smith-Hassell; and his sister-in-law Helen Jones-Smith. He was also cherished by grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Paul's Baptist Church, in memory of James, would be appreciated by the family.
