He is survived by: his sons, James Trogdon Jr. (Sylvia), Frederick Trogdon and Donald Trogdon; his siblings, Wanda Justice (Benny), Janice Brown, Reba Bailey (Jim), Virginia Sony, Henrietta Casper and William "Fred" Trogdon (Connie); and the mother of his children Ruth Trogdon. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends.
