He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas; his siblings, Thomas Edwards Jr., Doris Edwards and Delores Hudson; and his son Joel Edwards Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Dorothea Edwards; his sister Bobbi Allen; his children, Marlon Edwards, Sherita Edwards, Kenya Cole (Keith), Paula Reese and Pawlette Easley (Vance); and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Morris (Ruffin), Veronica Brown (Freeman), Antonia Banks and Constance Jones. He is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
