He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bennett and Jo Ann Bennett (Jones); and his brother Andy Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Connie (Sliemers); his children, Johnny Bennett, Brian Bennett (Courtney) and Erin Steube (Curtis); and his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kaiden, Brooke, Willow, Oliver and Callahan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home (1177 W 5th Ave, Columbus, OH 43212). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret of Cortona Church (1600 N Hague Ave, Columbus, OH 43204). A procession will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (6440 S High St, Lockbourne, OH 43137).
