He is survived by: his fiancée Janet Ewing; his children, Tawna (Ray), Christopher J. Vail, Jordan M. Vail (Abigail) and Jennifer M. Vail; his grandchildren, Joseph Pattishall, Victoria DeVore, Ray A. Ewing, Elizabeth Ewing, Brantley Vail, Greyson Vail, Kellan Vail, Damian Steele and Michael Steele; his great grandchild Joseph Pattishall II; and his sister Janet Lawton.
