He is survived by: his wife Mary Fetters (Robertson); his sister Judi Guy; his sons, John Robert "Rob" Fetters, Matthew Martin "Matt" Fetters and David Andrew "Andy" Fetters; his adoptive sons, Michael Fetters, Jim Fetters and Daniel Phi Fetters; his foster children, Quyen Nguyen, Liem Nguyen, Minh Tran, Quoc Phan, Long Le, Ahn Vuong, Long Tran, Phoung Tran, Ein Tran, Tony Hernandez, Nam Nguyen and Trung Nguyen; and his grandchildren, Rachael Westfall, Katie Motter, Joseph Nguyen, Hannah Viengsamai Fetters, Erin BounLieng Fetters, Charles Nguyen, Charlie Nguyen, Caroline Nguyen, Jessica Tran, Nora Eloise Fetters, Declan Alexander Fetters, Reuben Jarvis Fetters, Jackson Matthew Fetters, Bergen Zara Fetters, Ivy Phan and Henry Phan.
