He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pannell and Sally Ann Pannell; his siblings, Samuel, Daniel, Fred, Nathaniel Pannell and Abbie Morris Pannell; and his children, Elizabeth Pannell and Charles Pannell.
He is survived by: his children, Jerome Harris, James L. Pannell, John Pannell, Teara Johnson and Cheryl Harrington of Roanoke, VA; his siblings, Alfred, Douglas Pannell, Jane Court and Margaret Brown; and his former wife Sherby Williams. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
