He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilford E. McCarty and Hazel Cole McCarty; and his brother David E. McCarty. He is survived by: his wife Lindel Waugh McCarty; his son Gabriel W. McCarty (Bobbie Jo); his grandchildren, Brendan, Haley and Dylan; and his sister Sondra McCarty Harper.
