He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jack T. Shasserre and Rosemary Bowers; his brothers, Steve, Rick and Gregory Madigan; his great-niece Cassidy Emmons; his aunts, Dorothy Barrett and Joan Smugala; his sister Pamela; his brother-in-law Richard Overmeyer; his siblings' children, Jeremiah Emmons (Amber) and Elizabeth Price; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Michaela Price (Kaleybug), Mariah Cook (Matthew), Kyle Price, Alex, Jeremiah, Caden, Mason, Colton and Cayson Emmons; Xavier Emmons and Miles Cook.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in John's name to the Kidney Foundation.
