He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Agnes Hopkins Jackson; his parents, Thomas Jackson and Annie Jackson; and his siblings, Sammie "Sam", Sallie "Tot", Thomas "Bill", Henry "Jake", Frank "Noot", Leroy "Buddy", Etta Ruth, Lawrence "Pete" Sr., Minnie Sr and Arthur Russell "Rock" Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Jackson, Jr. and Geraldene Jackson; his grandchildren, Shawn Crome (Heather), Toya Jackson, Sydney Jackson, Patrick Jackson (Sylvia) and Carissa Crome; his aunt Marie Robinson; and his sister-in-law Carrie Jeter. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
