He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Watkins (Mindy), Larry Watkins (Robin) and Gary Watkins; his grandchildren, Laura Watkins, Craig Watkins (Dana), Stephanie Curry (Danny), Robert Rowland, Paula Baker (Austin), Christina Watkins and Gary Watkins Jr.; his brother Ernest Watkins; and the mother of his children Norma Dawson. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
