He was predeceased by: his parents, James Coleman and Lillie Coleman (Dotson); and his siblings, Steve, Darrell, Jenny, Peggy, Monagail and Norma Jean.
He is survived by: his children, Christy Wellman and Damien Wellman (Carrie); and his grandchildren, Shane, Matthew, Mason, Tyler, Jacob, Caleb, Grace and Mia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
