He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Frank and Elsie May Whaley (West); his wife Constance E. Whaley (Wilson); his son Jeffrey C. Whaley; and his brother Larry D. Whaley.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Whaley (Mary) of Westerville, Wendi McCarty (Antony) of Mt. Gilead and Jessica Sadilek (Jeremy) of Gahanna; his sister Barbara J. Boyle of Columbus; and his grandchildren, Amanda Radan (Mark) of Glendale, AZ, Amara Whaley of Westerville, Christopher Whaley of Solon, Kenneth Whaley of Hilliard, Matthew Whaley of Columbus, Allison Chapman of Pataskala, Nicholas Chapman of Columbus, Bradley Malone of Columbus, Thomas Malone of Gahanna and Takoda Sadilek of Columbus. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, and many beloved friends.
