He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Sr. Akers and Servia Akers (Spurlock); and his siblings, Juanita Mase (Jake) of James Akers, JP, Dewey Akers, Jr. and Paul Akers.
He is survived by: his sister Jennie Greene; and his close friends, Mike and Karen Murnane.
