He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Price and Maggie Pruitt Price; his stepmother Dorothy B. Price Campbell; and his sisters, Annie Bell Price and Gloria Jean Taylor.

He is survived by: his son Dudley Wade Craighead of Rocky Mount, VA; his granddaughter Alberta Alicia Craighead of Glade Hill, VA; and his siblings, Ella Williams (John) of Jamestown, Pandora Gill of Martinsville, VA, Earnestine Price of Columbus, OH, Raymond Price, Jr. (Ronnie Jean) of Bassett, VA and Tommy Lee Price (Cynthia Lou) of Tacoma, WA.
