He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Wells and Hazel Bowen; his wife Cinda Smith Field; his siblings, Victor and Marian Harris (Ted); his daughter Paget Thomas (Matthew); his grandson Liam; his brother Gordon Wells (Priscilla); and his siblings' children, Lesley Wells and Dana Harris.
