Backus (Columbus, Ohio), born in Pikeville, Kentucky, who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wesley and Willa Baars; her husband Harold Backus; her brother Dick Baars; her nephew Scott Baars; and her cousins, James Looney and Bobby Thompson.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Douglas Baars (Marie), Pierre Patry, Michaela Koenig (Keith), Tawnia Amleh (Al) and Lenada; and her close friends, Jim Whipple, Susan Frey, Kathleen and Don Griffith.
