He was predeceased by: his former wife Natalie Handler; his parents, Simon Handler and Rosa Handler; and his sisters, Dorothy Zelizer and Florence Zelizer.
He is survived by: his sons, Geoffrey Handler (Judy), Stephen Handler (Carol) and Rabbi Howard Handler (Germán Calle); his brother Martin Handler (Madelene); and his grandchildren, Andrew Handler (Kimberly), William Handler (Nicole), Allison Speiser (Matthew), Jeremy Handler (Marion), Julie Winick (Daniel) and Malachi Handler (Sara). He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
