She was predeceased by: her parents, James Barnes and Antoinette Ethel Bradford Barnes; and her brothers, Juan Barnes, Byron Barnes and Mark Barnes.

She is survived by: her sisters, Stacy Williams and Erica Barnes; her son Quentin Bivens; her grandchildren, Dru, Chris, Quentin, Jordynn, Alézha and Jaydynn; and her siblings, Michael Barnes (Rhonda) of Texas, Jessica Burkhart of Maryland and Alison Barnes. She is also survived by her son and grandchildren.
