She was predeceased by: her parents, Mamie Carey and Henry William Carey; and her siblings, Johnnie Carey, Olivia Wilson and Juanita Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Goolsby, Letta Simpson (James) and Gail Prioleau; and her brother Donald Carey. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
