He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias and Trudy Orndorf Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Matthew, Carolyn Orndorf-McDowell (Faron) and Crystal Orndorf (Brian Burchett); his grandchildren, Lilly McDowell and Brian Burchett II; his brother Carl Orndorf (Janis); and his siblings-in-law, Connie Williams, Robert Conard and Debbie Conard. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many good friends.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
