He was predeceased by: his parents, Naum Batshev and Zhenya Batshev. He is survived by: his wife Elena Dorochenko; his son Andrei Dorochenko (Marsha); his brother Boris Batshev; and his grandchildren, Katherine Dorochenko, Julia Dorochenko and Jacob Dorochenko. He is also survived by nieces, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mikhail's memory Congregation Agudas Achim.
