She was predeceased by: her father Ervin Holland; her brother Willie Edward Holland; her sister-in-law Rayleen Holland; her daughter Debra Hopkins; and her granddaughter Johanna Hopkins.
She is survived by: her husband James Hopkins; her daughters, Mary Elaine Hopkins-Blalock (Roderick Blalock) and Elena Hopkins; her grandchildren, Teila Marie Hopkins, Roderick Hopkins, Shakeen Hopkins, Marquest Hopkins and Corrine Hopkins; her great grandchild Al'teiona Hopkins; her nieces, Denise Holland and Janey Hopkins; and her close friends, Pamela Dean and Sylvia Harris.
