She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Charles Beck and Francis Beck; her husband Walter Eugene Bowers; her daughters, Cindy Ayotte (Patrick) and Susan Thayer; and her stepchildren, Walter, Jr. (Sharon), Sam, Charlotte and Bonnie.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Ohio.
