It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norma Philomena Defrank (Columbus, Ohio), who passed away on January 16, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Marie Carifa and Philip Volpe; her husband Dan DeFrank; her daughter Olivia DeFrank Charles; and her son-in-law Michael L. Charles.
She is survived by: her son Larry (Barb); her grandchildren, Kimberly Younkin (Tracy), Michael Charles (Wendy), Stephanie Miller (Joe) and Chris DeFrank; her great grandchildren, Clint, Heath, Gabe, Eli, Drew, J. D., Caleb and Olivia; and her sister-in-law Josephine Volpe. She is also survived by her children at the same time; in cooking large family meals and hosting holiday celebrations; in taking grandkids on trips to the ballpark and the swimming pool and the neighborhood schools' playgrounds to shoot basketballs at the outdoor hoops; and in attending dozens of sports games and events where her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
