She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Chester Heaberlin and Gertrude "Bette" Heaberlin (White); her husband Robert Lee Payne; her sister Kathy; and her brother-in-law Doug Lawless.

She is survived by: her son Robert A. Payne (Mary Swain); her grandchildren, Chloe Payne and Smith Payne; and her siblings, Peg Dyer (Wade) of Wheelersburg, Rick Heaberlin (Jolinda) of Ironton and Kerry Heaberlin (Kathy) of Ironton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
