She was predeceased by: her husband Tom. She is survived by: her children, Patti Somers (Mike), Terry (Nancy), Jim (Gayle), Sean (Patti) and Tim (Tricia). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and twenty-one great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, many life-long friends.

Upon Rita's request in lieu of flowers the family strongly urges donations to Holy Family Soup Kitchen or St. Mary Magdalene Church food pantry.
