He was predeceased by: his wife Katherine; his stepson Anthony Spencer; and his former wife Virginia. He is survived by: his children, David Butcher, Denise Specie (Frank), Donald Butcher (Jeri), Mary Butcher (Todd), Margaret Butcher-Shaw (R. J.), Patty Robbins (Scott) and Jennifer Adkins (David); and his stepchildren, Carlina Hickman (Bill), Joe Spencer, Cindy Spencer and Woody Spencer. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
