He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Irene Jones Chutes and Herbert Ivan Chutes; his wife Eunice Chutes (Sanderson McKnight); and his sisters, Leah Reynolds, Betty White (Avery) and Lois Parson.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Chutes (Julie) of Kentucky and Lori Buckley (Robin) of Marietta, Ohio; his stepson Mark McKnight (Jeanne) of Columbus, Ohio.; his grandchildren, Aaron Carver, Mahria Hall (Sam), Amy McKnight (Justin) and Jeff McKnight (Allison); his great grandchildren, Zack, Seth, Lexis, Luke of Marietta, Chloe and Sebastian of Columbus, Ohio.; his sister-in-law Scheila Sanderson; his nieces, Julia Brewer (Randy) and Shelli Miller (Brett); his nephew John Higgins (Beth); and his friends, Omar, Soco Camacho, Brenda Breeze and Mark Hawkins (Mary Kay). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
