He was predeceased by: his son William R. Hatem; his parents, Habib and Niagme; and his brothers, Joseph, Fred, Louis and Habib.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Theresa M. Schwarz (Richard), Susan J. Capretta (Philip), Mary Hatem Clark (Jeff) and Roberta A. Marion; his grandchildren, Amy (Chris), Melissa (John), Natalie, Jordann (Lamine), Samantha, Emily (Joe), Kyra (Nick), Alaura, Damien, Aaron and Stephanie; and his great grandchildren, Nolan, Maura, Cole, Chloe, Lila and Nora. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
